This is a 1952 BSA A10 Golden Flash. These bikes were a sensation when they were launched at the Earles Court Show in 1949. The bright gold and chrome finish with a beige seat made them look extraordinary compared to the usual blacks and dark reds that dominated the British industry at the time. This particular example is exceptional, as I have never seen one with the correct rear panniers, which were an optional extra. This bike comes with a current V5C and a large file. The file has bills in it which show a recent spend of around £ 3,500 !. Items include the panniers at £ 400, a new genuine Amal carb, new fork stanchions and seals, taper roller bearing conversion, dynamo rebuilt and dynamo belt drive kit fitted, new battery, new sprockets with a larger-than-standard sprocket fitted to aid cruising, new exhausts, L.E.D lights, tank renovated and so on. Frankly, the list is endless.

In a nutshell, although the bike is not mint, you will basically struggle to find a better example. It starts first kick and runs a treat. It is charging; there is no smoke or rattles, good oil return, ticks over perfectly, etc. I have spun it around and can tell you the clutch, gears, brakes, etc, are all spot on.
