1927 New Henley 250 Flat tanker. £4,500

Circa 1927 New Henley Flat Tanker. Believed to be 290cc side valve JAP. This is a much older restoration that was never quite finished. You can see rebuilt wheels with new tyres, frame and tank was nicely painted, believed rebuilt engine, looks to be a refurbished mag.. certainly gives off a good strong spark etc. The bike starts very easily and runs good. It needs registering and light recommissioning, with bits tightening up etc. A lighting kit would be a nice addition as well, and at this period Acetylene lights could easily be added. I can’t see a reason why this would not be a pleasant bike to trot around country lanes on or be ideal for the Banbury run etc. This is all chain drive and drum brakes, so no belt drive or push bike type brakes to contend with. Spares for Jap engines are still plentiful really, so this could make a nice useable but unusual vintage machine. Its such a nice little bike that is looking for the next owner to progress it on its journey now.
