1954 Ariel VH500 Red Hunter. £3,500

1954 Ariel VH500 or Red Hunter. Comes with a V5C. The bike is an older restoration that has not been used for a few years. If you look closely you will see that it had new wheels at some point, new exhaust, fork oil seals, shocks, seat and paintwork. I would guess that it was restored maybe ten years ago and has mellowed back a bit now, but is still smart enough to use as is. It has the alloy head fitted. It started easily and ran fine. The lights worked and I think it is charging. I had the ignition advanced on the video, but what’s not shown is that if you retard the ever the tick over settles back to a nice slow and even tick over. It has come to me from a numbers dealer so the reg shown has gone on retention, but the bike comes with a current V5C and what will be an almost identical age related registration number. So, this bike is one to ride or restore. Light recommissioning is the modern phrase, which translates to a service and you are using this machine. It is priced fairly for a 500cc bike and I am open to exchange for older machines. 07718 593259.
