This is a 1951 Douglas 90 Plus model. It comes with a current V5C and is classed as historic so is tax and MOT exempt at this age.
The bike was built by a Douglas enthusiast to 90 Plus spec. It is classed as a replica because it has had a frame replacement at some point although the correct 90+ numbers are on this frame. The engine is genuine 90 Plus of course and is most of the other bits on the bike. Later carbs have been fitted to aid starting and running.
The bike does start easily and run well with out undue noise etc. It is clearly an older restoration that still look pretty good. This is therefore ideal to ride as is or restore further.
