1953 triumph TRW 500cc side valve twin. V5C is present. This has been restored and is in the much more rare RAF blue colour. TRWs were not sold to the general public at the time, they were only sold to various forces in the UK and into the common wealth generally, which included military as well as civilian forces such as Police forces, breakdown services, fire services and so forth. Most were exported. Over the years they have transferred into civilian hands and some have filtered back home. The RAF machines are possibly the most rare of what is not a common machine simply because the RAF did not buy that many from what I understand. This one has been restored and not really used. It has the correct BTH switch on the headlight nacelle, the correct Solex carb, correct rear carriers and side stand etc etc. The bike is back to bang correct original spec, with bits on it that have often been changed, swapped or simply half inched over the years. It runs great, is lighting up, is charging well, seems to run around sweet as a nut and is basically ready to ride away. This is one to buy and enjoy this summer. No hard restoration slog, someone else has done all that for you, and done a pretty decent job. The bike is very tidy, not mint, but tidy and ready to roll. 07718 593259. The bike is in Chesterfield derbyshire for viewing and a courier can deliver it to you.
